This is another in my ongoing series exploring the thrilling high-speed maneuvers of the rodeo pickup riders as they unhitch the buckstraps on the broncs and capture the lead rope to guide the bronc from the arena. Of course, it helps that the pickup riders are often dressed with bright shirts and silk scarves and mounted on flashy saddle-horses. Interestingly, if the pickup team has hold of the bronc for any length of time, the two horses will often fall into stride as they thunder around the arena, making for a rodeo dance of sorts...which is the particular subject matter here.
